Shah Rukh Khan is also known as SRK, King of Bollywood, King of Romance, Baadshah is a famous Indian film actor, producer and television personality. SRK, son of Meer Taj Mohammed Khan (father) and Lateef Fatima (mother), was born in a Muslim family in New Delhi.
SRK married Gauri Chibber who is a Punjabi Hindu on 25 October 1991 in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Their son Aryan born in 1997 and daughter Suhana born in 2000. Their third child AbRam born in 2013 through surrogacy.
Khan attended St. Columba’s School in central Delhi (schooling), Hansraj College (graduation), Jamia Millia Islamia (Mass Communications) for the education. He also enrolled in Delhi’s Theatre Action Group and National School of Drama for learning basics of acting to pursue his acting career.
SRk made his debut in Television industry with Fauji (1988). Later he appeared in Circus and Idiot TV series and some other TV series with a minor role. During this time he was not ready for the film projects but later in April 1991 he changed his mind.
He moved to Mumbai from Delhi and signed four films. Deewana (1992) was his debut film for which earned the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance. With his other films Chamatkar, Dil Aashna Hai, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman SRk came in the limelight of Bollywood.
In 1993, Khan appeared in Darr and Baazigar in a negative role and received a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. For Baazigar he won his Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Till now he has won 14 Filmfare Awards.
SRK shined again with Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Dil To Pagal Hai and set the new benchmarks of his popularity. His films of 1995, 1997 and 1998 year gave him immense popularity, leaving a huge fan following.
Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) proved him the best Bollywood romantic hero. His films with Karan Johar and Yash Chopra were the highest grossing movies of respective years. Shahrukh Khan is highly appreciated opposite to Kajol till now, his recent movie Dilwale (2015) is a proof of a huge fan following of this beautiful couple.

SRK’s two most awaited movies Dear Zindagi and Raees are releasing in 2016. While Dear Zindagi is releasing on 25th November, the release date of Raees has not been confirmed yet. Earlier it was about to release on 6th July with Salman Khan’s Sultan but due to release date clash issues, SRK postponed the movie release.
